Dutch Shuffleboard (Sjoelen) is a traditional Dutch tabletop game where players slide wooden discs down a long wooden alley, aiming to score points by getting them through numbered arches at the far end. The game combines skill, strategy, and a bit of luck, making it fun for all ages.
How It Works:
Setup: The shuffleboard alley has four scoring arches (numbered 2, 3, 4, and 1) at the end.
Play: Each player gets 30 discs (or fewer in casual play) and slides them one by one toward the arches.
Scoring: Discs that go through the arches earn their face value. Bonus points are awarded for having discs in all four arches (usually +10).
Winning: After all discs are played, points are tallied. The player with the highest score wins!
It’s a mix of precision and tactics—great for friendly competition! 🎯
